Ivana Gagić Kičinbači

Ivana Gagić Kičinbači was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1980. She obtained the MA in graphic arts from the Graphic Department of the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb in 2003. She also completed postgraduate studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2007, and is currently pursuing a PhD in visual arts "Ars Sacra" at the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Mostar. She participated in number of juried printmaking competitions and biennales in both contemporary and traditional printmaking disciplines. Her works were shown at solo exhibitions and over hundred group exhibitions in Croatia and Europe (United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, France), the United States and Japan. She was recognized for her artistic achievements. Her research interests include visual arts, drawing, printmaking, art as a medium for expressing transcendent realities, art and theology, and art education, a field in which she has been active for more than two decades. She is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Teacher Education and the Catholic Faculty of Theology at the University of Zagreb. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HDLU) and of the Association of Print Scholars (APS).
